WaxTex – Waxed and Abrasion-Resistant Canvas

A key feature of the Fjell Ace Trousers is the waxed WaxTex canvas, designed to withstand active use in challenging terrain. Dense vegetation, brush, and branches place considerable demands on hunting trousers, and the robust canvas fabric provides good resistance to wear and abrasion.

The wax treatment improves the material’s ability to repel moisture and dirt while also enhancing the durability of the fabric. However, these trousers do not feature a waterproof membrane and should not be considered equivalent to fully waterproof hunting trousers.

Another advantage of WaxTex is its maintainability. The trousers can be re-waxed as needed to help preserve the water- and dirt-repellent properties of the outer fabric over time.

Designed for Freedom of Movement

The Fjell Ace Trousers feature a classic cut that provides natural freedom of movement during long walks, stalking, and when quickly changing shooting positions.

The rear of the waistband is elasticated, allowing the trousers to adapt to the wearer’s movements when bending or crouching. Articulated knees provide additional room and make it easier to move through varied terrain.

The front features a traditional jeans-style button closure.

Practical Pockets

The trousers feature two easily accessible open upper pockets for quick access to frequently used items. A zippered pocket on the right thigh provides secure storage for more important equipment.

The thigh pocket is suitable for carrying a GPS device, phone, folding knife, or other small hunting accessories. A leather-look zipper pull makes the pocket easy to operate while complementing the trousers’ classic appearance.

Versatile Hunting Trousers

Warmth can be adjusted with a base layer. In warmer conditions, the trousers can be worn on their own, while in colder weather a base layer such as merino wool can be worn underneath.
