The Hikmicro Cheetah C32F-N 940 nm night vision scope (night/day camera clip-on version) looks similar to Hikmicro’s Panther series. It is smaller and lighter compared to the shape of a traditional scope in order to be able to suit a wide range of users, it is available in several versions. Their common feature is that they all have a built-in infrared projector, which, depending on the type, can be 850nm or 940nm. Within the digital scope series, there is a version with and without a built-in laser rangefinder. It is important to know that Hikmicro’s parent company, Hikvision, which is the world’s largest camera manufacturer, has been developing the technology of the night/day imaging sensor element, which is the main element of the camera, for its security systems. This knowledge, established over many years, is a huge advantage over its competitors, which are originally for „hunting“. The sensor has a QHD i.e. 2560×1440 pixel resolution with extremely high sensitivity. The Full HD display is based on modern OLED technology and has 1920×1080 pixels. The 32 mm front lens and the eyepiece provide 2.7x optical magnification, which can be increased to 5.4x/10.8x/21.6x with the digital zoom function.
